If my opinion means anything, I would recommend you stick on 5.3.2 until a hack has been released for newer versions, if you care about hacking your Wii U. If there's one thing I know about these exploits, it's that "We plan to release it this month." means (If we're lucky) next year. :P

Emulators all the way, I'd love to port Snes9x 1.53, no frameskipping, no speed hacks, having all enhancement chip games to run full speed, since my tests with injecting Snes VC hasn't exactly been, uh, as successful as I hoped.
So are n64 :D

But, do not abort already! The header/config theory is proven to be working!
If I were you, I wouldn't say it's worthless :)

I've run the OSDriver exploit five times now, and each time I get this garbled screen. WTF is going on?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Snes doesn't work the same way, swapping headers does work to an extent, but there's no way to actually extract or use config files like for N64 games. Take for instance, games are only hard coded to run certain things, like SA-1 games (Kirby), can only run SA-1 games, other games injected into it will not run. Same with Donkey Kong Country, you can't inject SA-1 games into it at all, so header swapping only has minimal success. Star Fox partially ran, and did boot up, with sound but the graphics were horribly corrupt. I dunno, man, unless someone can somehow conjure up config files for Snes ROMs, there's just no way, it's at a standstill.

The last few posts on the thread made by @Summersett are not exactly looking good for our tests. Unless someone knew how to extract the exe/wrapper the games use and see that way...Snes9x 1.53 would be far easier to deal with in the long run. That, VC games look bad on HD screens due to the 4:3 (which I despise) and no filtering.

Edit: Posts here, http://gbatemp.net/threads/n64-ds-vc-game-injection-working-on-5-3-2.395930/page-22#post-5665271 doesn't look too good of a future for Snes VC injection, unless someone can figure out something we haven't. Tried asking for help on porting Snes9x Next, that was a joke, someone else is gonna have to do it for the Wii U I'm afraid.

I'd port WiiMC since running 720p MP4 videos on Wii is not a very good idea... And I'd also port Wire3D (if it wasn't so complicated).
I've watched every Dinosaur King episode in 720p MP4s on my Wii. It played them perfectly. However, I would love to see them playing in HD through the Wii U.

I've run the OSDriver exploit 17 times now, and each time I get that garbled screen. I also tried other homebrew that uses only the webkit exploit, and none of those work either. They all garble the screen and crash the system. All I did was reset the browser save data. WHAT HAPPENED??!!??!?!?!?!??!?!??!?!

Ah yes, the good old crash 3, good times :,) This is what it'll be like with the latest Webkit exploit too. Just gotta keep running it until it works, and then it should work basically every time.
