Wii U Games in development?

Hi, I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place or not, so sorry if it's incorrect. I just got a Wii U and hacked it, and I'm having a lot of success and fun with it. So my brain kinda went "okay, with these tools someone could easily slap their game on original hardware for testing and such." So that brings me to my question: has anyone developed/is anyone developing new games for the Wii or Wii U? Obviously I'm not talking about publishers or studios or whatever, I'm talking about indie devs who just want to develop for the platform for fun. Secondary question, do we know how hard is the Wii U to develop for? I saw some projects a while back where people were developing for the PS1 or the GBA as a fun challenge and actually got some stuff running, but I know at least the PS1 project kinda faltered due to it being hellish to develop for as a solo dev with a limited amount of documentation.

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
