This project is deprecated. Please use JGecko U now to find your Wii U's IP address since it has Wii U finder built-in!

    ---

This little application automatically finds your Wii U's IP address in your local network. For convenience it will also tell you your PC's local IP address.

I know that this isn't an incredible piece of software but it might come in handy for some people. Entering your Wii U's IP address in any tool might be a thing of the past if something like this becomes the standard for client-side application like pyGecko, TCP Gecko.NET or whatever :)

    Download the application here:
    http://www.mediafire.com/download/2s7u8hoo2ibwumu

    Check out a video demonstration:

    Important:
    • Your PC has to be in the same local network as your Wii U and your Wii U has to be exploited via kernel and codehandler installer exploits
    • You have to have a game launched as well
    • This application can not be ran inside a Virtual Machine because the IP address detection of the PC will not work correctly so it ends up scanning the wrong IP sub network and obviously fails to find the Wii U
    • You have to install Java for this application to run
    • This application should work on all Unix and Windows systems

Not really. For people that use client-side applications that communicate with the Wii U. Namely pyGecko, TCP Gecko.NET, Cafiine or anything of that kind. They require you to enter the Wii U's IP address but it can be found automatically as well like my application proves. It only takes a few seconds ;)

Of you could just log into your router and check the IP address there. It will be the one with a name of *, and a Nintendo Mac address.
