1 Preorder per person right? A family dont consist of only one person right? So they take their husband/wife, son/daughter, etc to preorder one too.

no you have to have a the shops loyalty card to pre-order
and they have addresses, 1 console per home on WiiU's at all local shops
HMV, GAME, GAMESTATION
also you have to pay £20 per pre-order (you get it taken off the price when it comes in)

Because then they can sell it for a lot more for profit. Its already happening on eBay if you didn't know.

I dont know on Japan but here you dont need any card or w/e. You just go and preorder.
Also they can also preorder on different shops(same company but in different locations). And here we dont have any of those companies. We have Gamestop, BestBuy, Walmart, Kmart, ToysRUs, etc

well the top question was answered in above post clearly ignored
cards are issued per address

guess thats America for you
you want it bad you either have to be fast
or get shafted on ebay

Shafted? No we are paid a premium for being on the ball and willing to wait in line for the extra. They pay me so that they don't have to go through the trouble. Its a finders fee.

shafted = Ripped off, cheated, treated most unfairly by people or even just by fate
because people buying more than they need and selling on at a higher price

the British are the kings of Queues

If I didn't preorder an extra, someone else would have, and then the potential buyers who look for a WiiU around christmas time will still be shafted by not being able to buy one at all. They should be grateful I'm willing to drop more money down up front, get in line for them, and then be willing to sell it to them for a small additional fee.

Try and justify it as much as you like, if it helps you sleep at night mate. But if im brutally honest if it wasnt for you greedy self serving dickheads there would be more consoles to go round. But its fuckers like you that go and buy multiple consoles so you can go and make a profit off the back of its popularity and then try and justify it by saying they dont wait in line for it. They have to wait longer for it in the post and risk it getting lost or stolen in while in the post.

I honestly hope that Nintendo ramps up production when the WiiU is released so people who pre ordered multiple consoles in hopes of making a profit either get stuck with them or have to sell them at cost or at a loss.

That would make my day.

It's really sickening when you hear people trying to act like they're doing you favor by getting an additional one when they, well everyone, know darn well they buy the extras to get the absolute most they can out of them and couldn't give a flying fadoodle about genuinely helping out someone who was unlucky enough to not get a pre-order early. If you all are really trying to be helpful, I'd love to see you be brave enough to post your offers up as the actual price of the console with ONLY the usual shipping, etc. as the extra the buyer'd have to pay. Then I'd applaud you.

Oh wait...you won't because you know you aren't doing this to be helpful. I'm looking at around $500-600 price tags already across various auction-like sites, some even up to $900+. That's obviously nowhere even close to a reasonable so called "finder's fee" some are calling it.

All that aside though...when you consider how much some will go up to if they missed out on the initial pre-ordering, it is a pretty smart (but sad) move.

Yeah, this is what Ninty really SHOULD do. Seeing that pre-orders are getting sold out less than a week after the launch announcement, since they're already set their price, not upping the production and, while they're at it, the pre-order limit for stores, would see them missing out on a serious chance to make some money.

I don't see why stores can't limit one unit per customer; people buying multiple console and jack up the price by 300% percent all them more backs up my claim that people are generally inconsiderate greedy jackholes.
