I love the Black Wii U. However the local launch price is probably going to hover around S$600+.

So I guess I have no choice.

It's a shame they didnt have both colours in both deluxe and budget packs as my Wii & controllers are white, so ti would have gone better with the console.
But I have to have the premium version. It's superior :D

Tekken Tag Team Tournament is supposed to take up 18gb digital... if you plan to seriously buy digital releases, you're going to have to use HDDs anyway.

If I do buy digital, yes, totally understandable. But at the same time, on the consumer end, they should still be aiming to cater various people and not forcing them (and I mean force in the options listed, I know I don't have to buy it at all if I choose not to). Especially when it's something as simple as, well, color.

I agree. I prefer white myself.

On one hand, I would like to get the Deluxe package due to all the bonus content and larger storage - the system looks very sleek and appealing. On the other hand though, I find "white" to be the staple colour of the Wii, and subsequently also the Wii U - black reminds me of the PS3 and grey is synonymous to the 360.

I won't be buying at launch or anywhere near it - I still want to catch up with this generation and I'll likely wait for the prices to drop, so I'll have time to decide, but for now, I'm partial towards the Deluxe package with a black Wii U - it really does look nice in this colour scheme, though I'm worried about it being a fingerprint magnet.
Black Wii U units are fingerprint magnets.
Oh? Well, I figured as much... well, that's a shame... Maybe it's white for me then... UGH! I want a white Deluxe! :P

Getting a black one down the line, with a black carbon fiber skin to prevent fingerprints, carbon fiber is pretty sleek looking too. Good thing only the front of the gamepad is shiny.

I've actually never had a problem with Fingerprints on black consoles, at all. I don't know why. I just never leave finger prints. I mean, my hands are pretty clean, and I always wash them before I touch controllers and stuff, so maybe that's why? No oil or anything on my fingers?

It's shiny/reflective, it uses matte material. If you can use a black, shiny surface without making any prints, I will send you $200.
Friendly tip: You might want to clarify the reasons you think things in the future, instead of outright stating them as facts, especially when you haven't even tested it yourself or read a review, and are just speculating.

Not saying I think you're wrong, I'm just pointing that out. This isn't the first time you've done that.
