Hacking Wii to PC via USB can I play games off my PCs HDD?

Hi I was wondering if it was possible to play games off my notebooks HDD using the USB loader if i connected my Wii to my notebook via USB.

or does the Wii need to be directly connected to an external HDD?

If the Wii requires direct connection what external HDD do you guys recommend?

Only works if an external drive is hooked up to the wii.

I wouldn't say impossible, but more unlikely. remember it wasn't too long ago that people were all up in arms saying HD loading was impossible as well. would it take a good amount of coding, yes, will it actually happen probably not.

however now that i think about it, the idea might not be as far fetched as we think, the pc serving the app has already been developed with the flatmii pc side app. if someone were to write a wrapper that pushed the data over the network rather than usb it might be done.

If you want that, then I suggest that you buy a FlatMii. You'll need to open up your Wii, but it works very well.

A flatmii modchip would allow that.
but for the same price you can pick up a cheap external hdd too.

very possible, all some one has to do is create a USB driver for the computer, then the driver can send the signature via usb to the wii so that the wii thinks its a flashdrive, or usb hdd.
