Hacking Wii System Menu Themes Help

I've been trying for about 2 hours to get the DarkWii Theme on my wii. I'm running 4.3u, IOS 58, and everytime I open mymenuify I get a black screen. I've also tried using WiiThemer, but when I open the CSM or mym I instantly get an error message. I just want any custom theme on my wii and I would love some help, thanks.
