Hardware Wii replacement

Does anyone know if a wii breaks and you send it back to nintendo do they replace the parts on the inside with the same parts or would they put newer(different) parts in it?

Like motherboard, dvd drive.....

Would they update your system menu too?

They ship you a new Wii most likely. Cheapest thing to do.

Pretty sure they replace with a refurbished system, which more then likely has been updated to the newest system menu.

I called and asked them about repair options for my DS and they pretty much told me that if I sent in a system they would send me back a different one. So I'll guess thats more then likely what they do with all systems.
