Wii remote not syncing

I bought a wii with homebrew. And have been unable to sync the remote. Batteries changed, sensor bar changed and have done everything see n on youtube red sync buttons, unplug and plug, sync button for 20 sec and nothing. Anything else I can try?

Another wiimote. If it doesn't pair you got a faulty console. Worst case scenario of course!

Process of elimination:
As mentioned above, try another Wii Remote first. Try your remote on another Wii.

Then:

• Bluetooth module inside the Wii might be somewhat defective
  • It must still power on, else Home Menu would not load
• Antenna cable might not be plugged into BT module (correctly)

Remove all peripherals from the Wii. Not that it should make a difference, but it does no harm to do so (Game disc, USB devices, SD card, GameCube controllers+Memory Cards).

The sensor bar has nothing to do with syncing. It has a misleading name and is just a bunch of infrared LEDs (and the IR sensor is inside the remote).
