The adapter you get with your wii for power (I forget the name) I had fried after I turned on a converter. I have a ntsc wii that I brought from America and have used a power converter to use it in Israel (Which uses the European outlet). If I buy a new power adapter here, will it work with my wii?

You just need the CORRECT Power Supply Unit for the country you are now in.

Either a 230/240V unit, or a 110V unit. (110V for USA)

They all OUTPUT 12V DC, its the INPUT Voltage that will kill em.

They are not universal power supplies like most laptop supplies.

So just buy one from a local retailer in the country you wish to use it.

You can use an outlet convertor, as long as the Supply Voltage at the wall is the same as written on the power supply unit.

PS: Israel is 230Volt 50Hz, Your US pack would have been a 110V unit, hence lots of smoke when used in Israel.
