Just installed the homebrew channel through the Internet Channel through the flashhax exploit, I’m using a USB so I added only the iOS installer and the multi mod manager to the apps folder and it loaded in the homebrew channel, when I choose to load either of the apps, my remote cuts off and when I try to resync with my Wii it doesn’t do so until I cut off the Wii and go back to the main Wii menu. The remote came with my Wii, I’m NOT sure if it has built in Motion plus or not, don’t know how to find out....Any solutions?

Edit: Just noticed the “Wii motionplus inside” line on the bottom of the front of the remote, I saw threads dating back five years ago with people who had motionplus remotes and apparently that’s the reason for the syncing issue...has there NOT been a fix after all these years?!
Also I have the pink motionplus remote LMA-RVL-WR/Z-C4.

Either use a different remote with MMM or use YAWMM. MMM hasn't been updated since devkitPRO added support for the Motion Plus remotes. The author doesn't support it anymore.

Yes, it is an old post but I also had this problem.
I bought a wii with motionplus remote and it lost also sync in HBC and USB Loader gx, the same like my motionplus i already got with the Wiiu.

Reading different posts and I got it:
Synch your Wii-mote in standard mode (with the synch button next to the sd card slot.

btw i could get both remotes to work POO-WC62 and BKERVL036, in HBC 1.1.2 and USB Loader GX 3.0r1268

He's talking about Multi Mod Manager. It will not work with a Wii Motion + remote. You have to use an old one or a GC controller. There is no source for it so there is no way to recompile it with the newest controller library.

I'm having this same issue with Super Mario War, which should be open-source. The black wiimote that I usually use shut off on the title screen so I had to use a white wiimote without it instead.

How exactly do I fix this issue? I've heard that a cIOS can fix it but not sure which one as I have a modded wii but I never tampered with the cIOS things. I have no idea how to do that.

Unfortunately, there's no easy fix that I know of. "Fix" is an older wiimote that doesn't have motion-plus built-in.

When Nintendo starting making wiimotes with motion-plus included, it broke compatibility with those wiimotes in the homebrew development libraries used at the time. It got fixed quickly, but not every application was updated to use the new libraries.

They'll act just like you describe. Sometimes they aren't responsive at all once you launch one of these homebrews, and show no signs of life, not even by pressing "1+2" (the player lights don't blink).

If you have multiple wiimotes, try connecting a second one. It'll connect as player two. Usually the console will freeze after that, and you have to hold the power button on the console to shut it off. This is another way to identify an older application with the issue.

SMW takes me back. That was the first homebrew game I ever played on the Wii when I first modded my console.
