Posted this in another "MH3 freezes" thread. Wont hurt to be posted here too?

Got MH3 to work with a softmodded 4.2E, 249rev19, Hermes v.4 223 [38+37] in CFG Usb Loader v57 with game settings: Block IOS Reload and using 223 to load. Had black screen freezes with all other settings I tried before the above.

Thanks. Works great. If you are using usbloader gx make sure you use r921 though. The newest versions don't seem to work (crash at launch of any game).

Btw, can you also play mh3 online without any updates? I'm still on 3.2.

I'm currently playing MH3 for the first time and I had no issue's playing this, my current set up is:

FW 3.2E
Wan CIOS ver 10 installed (didn't need to update since then)
game running under USBGX loader with ios 249 and set 002 fix to anti
block ios reload is off
played MH3 for the last 2 hours with no freezing
went online without any problems
working like a charm, I thought I would need this guide to play!!!!!

The installation guide I am using says to install IOS60 v6174 but NUSD says its just a stub and has no function. I have heard you can brick from installing a stubbed IOS - is it safe to do this?

I can play MH3 but since i set my wii up to do so I cannot install wad files. I am pretty sure this has to do with ios 37. anything that I can do so I can regain wad-ability? I'd like to install a new forwarder for the updated usb loader I installed.

PS, anyone able to use cheats in the game? I have tried with coverfloader with no luck

about the cheats idk but for your wad use signCheck form homebrew browser/ or on the web and check which IOS as the Trucha bug Enabled that will be the one you use to install wads.
