Hacking Wii Mini hacking?

I'm imn the US and was wondering if I buy a Wii Mini from eBay if I couldn't load soft mods onto it and play roms/Wii games externally as well as stream HD movies?

Thanks for the update so you'd have to solder additional software, ah well regular wii's are going pretty cheap now days for about the same price anyway, I just saw em going cheap on ebay. Which versions are able to run gamecube emulation without having to swap out the drives?

Yea, basically Wii Mini is trash, avoid it.

Just get a Wii which has GameCube ports and you should be fine. Others will interject if I'm wrong about this.
(you can't stream HD movies btw)

The max output res of a Wii is 480p.

Kind of a downer maybe one day I'll find one for $50, I'm just on the hunt for something small that'll serve as a media center and run some games/homebrew

Debating between that or a phone that's capable of HD out the specs on ouya is a bit low.

There is a Wii USB to LAN adapter, and there are USB SD readers and regulars
USB sticks.

How about we mod the Letterbomb so it searches for the files on the regular
USB sticks or USB SD reader?

It could work.

My old Wii does, so the Mini could support it too.

This is the official LAN adapter. I don´t know what chipset it is, I haven had one to open it.

The LAN adapter doesn't work on it.

Why not dump data from Wii Mini, edit it and redump it back into Wii Mini?
Bam, HBL and other apps. You could also solder and connect a external SDCard reader, many possibility's. Imagination is your limit.

Yes, but to dump the data, we would need access to homebrew. Back to square one.
As for the SD Card, I could see that working.

Can't you dump it with hardmod technique? If i know, Wii Mini uses Flash memory.

IDK as I never use hardmods. It could be possible, but the simplest way to get the actual dump is to run a softmod.
