Title should have read: "Wii has bad memory management? Memory taken up by crap? Can you get rid of it?"

IIRC, the Wii's memory fills up with crap even after you've deleted games that were on the system and other things which I forget.

Basically, over time it fills with crap that you can't get rid of. So, I was wondering just out of curiosity what this stuff is, and secondly is there a homebrew app that can clear all of the shit off that's taking up my valuable blocks?

Well a lot of computer systems suffer from this. Over time, the storage space becomes full of unnecessary data.
But on the Wii I guess it's just more noticable because of the limited capacity. If you loose 15MB on Wii for example, that's a big thing but on a PS3 you couldn't care less.
