Hey guys, well it's been years since i had a friend help me with my Wii, and i been hearing that it's now possible to play GameCube games and i desperately wanna play Windwaker. But even with all the guides i've read (mainly FIX94's and some others) i don't wanna try anything that might prevent me from playing my Wii games from my HDD.

So i guess i'll start with the stuff i have on my SD (though i don't know exactly whats installed) ...

UsbLoader GX
Priiloader
NeoGamma
DarkCORP
WAD Manager
cIOS installer
DOP-IOS MOD

Now i've recently updated most of these so that i could play Skyward Sword. I've decided i want to play WW off my SD but as to how or what might be easier in my case to run it through, i've been stopped in my tracks.

I also have a WW.iso backup already as well as DIOS-MIOS (not installed yet).

From here i have nothing, no idea what to do, so i hope everyone can give me the solution i need. Thanks.

Well first of all, DIOS-MIOS lite is what you want. DIOS-MIOS is USB only. DIOS-MIOS lite is SD only.

USBLoader GX can load games from DIOS-MIOS (either version) but you may need an updated version.

DMToolbox is included with DIOS-MIOS and you should run your windwaker ISO through that. Set the output to X:\games\ where X is your SD card.

Awesome, thanks for the quick response, i didn't have the Lite version but i now have the newest one.
Some questions that came up ...

How do i put this on my SD card, do i put the .rar in the root? ... or a folder? ... and where do i store the WW.iso?

I assume i put the .wad in the "wad" folder of the SD and install it from WAD Manager then i guess it reads anything in the folder. From your post i assume i have to create a "games" folder on my SD card and link it to DMToolbox application.

As for concerns do you know anything about it overwriting existing data cause i plan on having a zelda marathon and if i can only play WW then it'll kinda suck. Thanks.

So you'll need to install DIOS MIOS lite now, so yes take the .wad, put it in your wad folder on your SD card and install it with Wad Manager. Then take your Windwaker ISO, open it up in DMToolbox, select optimized instead of raw, and then click install. You should now have a folder called "GZLE01" and inside of that folder should be "game.iso". put the folder "GZLE01" containing your new ISO and put it in a folder "games" on the root of your SD card. Then load up USB Loader GX, Wiiflow, DMBooter, or whatever app you use to load your game and it should work!

Installing DIOS MIOS will overwrite your MIOS, which is basically what the Wii uses when it enters gamecube mode. This isn't a terrible thing as DIOS MIOS can read discs too, but it does not have the 100% game compatibility the default MIOS has. If you try to play a disc game that DIOS MIOS isn't compatible with, you can always switch back and reinstall the default MIOS, which you can get through the NUS Downloader. Doing this process shouldn't overwrite anything else.

Sweetness, now last couple of questions ...

Is there a way to find out what MIOS i have installed already before i start installing DIOS ?
Seeing as I'm not the one who did the original hacking.

And although you've probably already answered the question I'll ask again cause I'm paranoid and want to have all my bases covered ...

I have my HDD with Wii backups so that i don't have to use a disk to play them, i just load USBLoader and select a game (no disk required), this is what I'd like to continue doing after installing DIOS. So would the answer still be the same ? and sorry for asking for whats probably going to be the same answer.

DIOS MIOS does not affect Wii games in any way.
As far as I know you can check your MIOS version with sysCheck, but it shouldn't matter.

Ok cool everything seems to be working other than DIOS telling me i need to update my loader so I'm gonna look into that. Thanks to everyone for the help. It's much appreciated.

Or maybe you can help me further, i've tryed updating my loader and it still does not seem to work any ideas ?

The message i get is " incorrect config version. try updating your loader"

The game shows up in USBLoader GX and i have the path set correctly, i just don't know what DIOS want from me.

Well i've tried some stuff that I read from Googling my error message, and nothing has changed still getting that message.

Know one knows anything about this error message ? DO i need to have a disk in the drive or something, come on help a guy out a little more.
