Hacking Wii Dumper harms Wii?

I downloaded the wiihttpd+iso dumper and i am currently backing up my super smash bros brawl over wi-fi... my question is... is it possible for this to harm somehow my wii drive? maybe spinning for 10 hours continously? have people used it for some time without finding side effects?

Its like playing a movie dvd on the wii, its capable of it, yet there's MYTHS that it will cause the wiis laser life to shorten, that is bollox its a MYTH!

But id personally have a fan blowing inside

My Opinion:

I've used Wii DVD Dumper, and it has seemed to make the laser stop reading Dual Layer Discs, thats why my Wii is with Nintendo... again!

Dunno if Wii DVD Dumper or any other similar program does affect the laser though :S
