My God, does everyone have to spell everything out to you. This is why we need a Wii Hacking Moderator. One that only watches the boards for dumbasses who post like this so they can block it.
First off, now that I've told you what a dipshit you actually are, and you don't deserve anyone to tell you anything, I'm going to tell you what you want to know so this crappy post can sink into the depths of the forums for all eternity.
Is there a custom firmware? Since you obviously don;t know the difference between firmware and IOS, the best answer for you is YES. YES there is CUSTOM firmware.
Is it brick proof? No, and there is no way to make it brick proof, unless you are smart enough to read, which I'm not sure you are.
Will it keep my channels? Yes, where the fuck else would they go?
Will it play burned games? Yes, specially patched ones that are made specially for the backup loader. You patch the disks yourself, so any Wii Game will work. As for 100% compatible, no way, but it is relatively new, so give it time. It will also play DVD movies.
Where can I download it? I'll give you all the names of the programs you will need, and the order in which to install them.
What do I need to get started? The homebrew channel and twilight hack are the best places to start. After that, its just finding the correct files. Nobody is just going to hand you links, but if you spend a few minutes searching, then you will be up and running in no time. Also, looking for the files yourself will give you a chance to read some important information on each program so you don't show up back here in an hour asking why your wii is bricked. Also you will need the Wii connected to the internet.
1. Twilight Hack (Get Unsigned code to run)
2. Homebrew Channel (Lauch unsigned code from SD card or over the Network)
3. cIOS Rev.5 or Rev.6 (Custom IOS - Custom Firmware in a way)
4. DVDX (Allows cIOS control over the DVD drive)
5. cIOS Downgrader (Downgrades your system menu to any version. It is recommended you stay within your region or else you will semi-brick until the menu is reverted)
- Downgrade to 3.2 if you are not on 3.2 currently. If you are on 3.1 or lower, update to 3.3, then downgrade to 3.2 (This will allow you to run Starfall)
6. Starfall (System Menu Hacks and Brick protection - Region Free Channels/Disk Channels)
7. Backup Loader (Allows you to play patched games)
8. WAD Manager (Allows you to install .wad files - If you have to ask, then you don't need it)
Do not ask for direct download links or ask how to use these programs. The documentation you are looking for is all around you, and when you find the file, you will find the needed information. Also, nobody here is responsible if you brick your Wii from the use of any of these files. You are on your own.
