Hello.:)

You can use any FAT32 formatted SD. If the original is gone – use another one. All apps you need can be easily found. For the beginning SysCheck is the only thing you will need on the new SD. You won't need all the apps I have on my test (and ModMii) SD.

I should have removed them altogether before taking the photo.

What we unfortunately still not know,on which System Software Version is the Wii please ?
According to that low Priiloader Version it can be lower than 4.0x and that means unfortunately no bigger SD Cards then 2 GB.:(

With that SD Card you maybe have more luck with the Hackmii Installer.:)

Good Luck.:)

Thank you.:)

so what do i have to do exactly

In short Steps:

- please download the HackMii Installer
and copy the Files over (boot.elf and bootmini.elf belongs in the Root of your SD Card).
- Please do the Exploit for your Wii (now it is a good Time to know which System Version your Wii have -> Wilbrand should work on all Versions otherwise Letterbomb for 4.3x)
All Files should be also placed on the SD Card.

or

- please download ModMii:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/modmii-for-windows-official-support-topic.207126/
- please use the Option "H" for HackMii Solution.

Maybe also a good Idea is to know your MAC Adress from the Wii.
I think you said your Wii is still booting,so please go into the Wii Settings and check it under Internet - Console Information.

With both you should be able to Re-Install the Homebrew Channel too.:)

Thank you and
Good Luck.:)

Maybe you should know first that the wii is bricked because of a failed attempt on updating it (i think it was 4.1 when it was modded) and now i can only access the priiloader

anyway right now i downloaded the modmii and i'm in the part of the process where it's downloading all the mods in a folder for both the sd card and the usb hard drive (for the games)

Have you got your Wii's MAC Address ?
- Please get ModMii (EDIT you already have it)
- Please use the "H" Option with Wilbrand and put the Files on a SD Card
- In the Priiloader, please press "Load/Install File" and choose the boot.elf.
- then choose "Installed File" and wait for a few Seconds, you should get into the Hackmii Installer.

Thank you.:)

a thing i also want to mention is that from the priiloader i managed to enter a sub menu (i don't remember the name) where i was brought to a dark screen who could let me do a nand backup of my wii. I thought "even if it's bricked yet i can still get a copy of the original nand i guess?"

Right now i don't have it, but if there's a way to check it without going to the main system i'll be glad to answer that question

If you can do that and you HAVE an NAND BACKUP from BEFORE the Brick then you can use this Option please.:)

All right, i think it's time for a Recap:
This wii got bricked after the attempt on updating leaving the wii stuck on the priiloader menù
The original sd card got recovered as well now
A syscheck was attempted but it failed and got stuck on a black screen with some text
The wii was probably at the version 4.1
I don't know what the mac address is because i can't access the wii normally but only through the priiloader

Exactly. Sadly the damage is already done at this point. This warning comes always too late.

It is worth noting that reinstalling the System Menu will overwrite Priiloader and when the System Menu IOS is damaged or missing this is BAD.
When reinstalling System Menu, reinstalling Priiloader WITHOUT reboot is needed.

The Syscheck idea sounds good.

Questions:
  • Are the BootMii files on the SD and does the Wii have BootMii@boot2?
  • Does a NAND image of this Wii exist?
    • Full NAND restore of a known good image is an option but not the first thing to try in my opinion.

Like @Shadow#1 said "cleaning" a modded Wii is a really bad idea. ModMii can update a modded Wii in a safe way.
I also remember a message talking about this

If you can get it to work, yes please make an sysCheck.:)

Maybe also (your Homebrew Channel works now ?) please update your Priiloader first.
This makes it able to boot Applications too.
What says your Multi Mod Manager when you choose the Option IOS Manager ?
Which Version is on 58 please ? Can you re-install ISO 58 v6175 ?

You have the WAD Manager (Multi Mod Mananger),with that you can re-install the System Menu.
You need the System File(s) (please us Version 4.2E now as it seen on your BootMii Screen !!) and maybe an IOS58 too.
(ModMii has everything under Downloads).
Place it (wad Files) on your SD Card and install it with the Multi Mod Manager.

PLEASE NOTE This overwrites your Priiloader !! If something goes wrong, that´s it maybe.....

Good Luck.:)

So basically you're telling me to:
1. Do the syscheck
2. update the priiloader
3. (it gives me a lot of IOS numbers)
4. (what do you mean with "Which version is on 58")
5. reinstall ISO 58 v6175
6. download the system files for the wii Version 4.2E like it's displayed on the bootmii
correct?

So basically you're telling me to:
1. Do the syscheck
Yes please and post the Result if possible.Thank you.:)
It should be a sysCheck.csv File on the Root of your SD Card which you can edit with the Windows Editor.
So you can post the Content of it.

2. update the priiloader
Yes please, your Version is too low that i think loading simple Applications is not supportetd.

3. (it gives me a lot of IOS numbers)
4. (what do you mean with "Which version is on 58")
If you choose the "IOS Manager" Option in 'Multi Mod Manager you see Numbers from 3 to 254.If you choose 58 it tells you a Version Number below "Version installed" .Which one please ?

5. reinstall ISO 58 v6175
Yes please ,if your Answer above is "Not installed"

6. download the system files for the wii Version 4.2E like it's displayed on the bootmii
correct?
This comes a bit later after you have checked the Points above and cleared them please.:)

Thank you.:)
