Hacking Wii bricked, stuck on priiloader without boot file

I received from a friend a Nintendo Wii bricked after a failed attempt on cleaning up the console from any modification and then update it. When i launch it all i see is this. Is there any hope? P.s. i'll attach a photo here of the screen i receive on tv.

if it can then you could at least put wadmanager app on and re-install a sysmenu (+ its IOS) wads to launch into a system menu again?

better still, run syscheck app first to see exactly what IS on there

It is worth noting that reinstalling the System Menu will overwrite Priiloader and when the System Menu IOS is damaged or missing this is BAD.
When reinstalling System Menu, reinstalling Priiloader WITHOUT reboot is needed.

The Syscheck idea sounds good.

Questions:

• Are the BootMii files on the SD and does the Wii have BootMii@boot2?
  
• Does a NAND image of this Wii exist?
  • Full NAND restore of a known good image is an option but not the first thing to try in my opinion.

Like @Shadow#1 said "cleaning" a modded Wii is a really bad idea. ModMii can update a modded Wii in a safe way.

And to add to this there really isn't a reason to update past 4.0 or 4.1 only thing 4.2 4.3 was is Nintendo's attempt to remove homebrew and nothing more and if u needed newer iOSs just install the newer ios

I thought the reboot to priiloader was required when you patched the system menu IOS only?

I checked and there's no sd slot in the wii and he told me he lost it several months ago

Before getting into this forum i tried to look on the internet if there was a copy of these files so that i could try and put it in an SD card

You need 4.3 for Wii Mail iirc

Syncing a Wii Remote requires access to System Menu. Wii Remote will not sync in Priiloader. Use a remote that has been synced to that Wii before the software damage (and obviously not been used on another Wii since) or connect a GameCube controller to use Priiloader.

that might be an issue because he didn't hand me the wii right after the damage was done, and in the meantime he synched his remote with my wii so we could play together times to times (which has the same mods his wii had) and neither of us ever had a gamecube controller or know anyone who could lend it to us

btw while i was waiting for an answer i found out about a software who can transform someone's nand into a usable nand for your wii, i think it's called betwiin

understood, i checked the link you just sent me and it was enough to discourage me into trying it. I'll proceed on buying a controller then. thank you very much for your patience and for helping me KleinesSinchen. I'll write here again as soon as i get the controller and ensure it works.

Since yesterday when i was looking for that option i got this screen when i tried to press "load installed files"

oh um.. about that i said earlier that my fried gave me the wii without the sd card, so basically i don't have any of those apps. Is it possible to copy those apps from somewhere?

You can use any FAT32 formatted SD. If the original is gone – use another one. All apps you need can be easily found. For the beginning SysCheck is the only thing you will need on the new SD. You won't need all the apps I have on my test (and ModMii) SD.

I should have removed them altogether before taking the photo.
