i just download all the cover in my hd.and the wbm shows location is in the cache.the question is wheri is this cahce folder?

Thanks your suggestion fixed my covers problem, and I now understand more how they work. Is there anywhere posted brief help information, so that one can understand how each option works?

Also I notice in the directory tree icons for the different features supported by a game, such as zapper, number of controllers, mic, etc. Having these shown in a column again each game would be really useful so one can sort any find out which games support which features. As you have the icons there, is this a feature your planning for? If so that would be voted for by me.

Overall a great application. Thanks.

hi, I noticed that when I want to format a drive, it suggests WBFS 500 discs, and I could also select up to 4094 discs. But, how should I format it in NTFS for 2048 games?

@adriman
You need to set the correct base cover folder. ie. The folder that the loader will look in for the covers. Either on your SD card or FAT32 drive. Then you need to select "Download and sync" from the cover menu.

I've only used ULoader for discs before, I'd need to look at the cover setup. It should be easy enough to add support for it though.

@resin
It sounds like the filesystem is messed up, maybe caused by uplugging the drive while it's in use. I'd need to log to see what's wrong with the 180 games. From the info you've given, it could be almost anything that's caused it. The log would be a good place to start.

@gil21
The cover cache is in the "covers\cache" folder. You can disable that in build 61 if you only want to download missing covers, like the loaders do.

If you only downloaded to the cache, the cover folder layout isn't compatible with any loaders. You need to "Download and sync" to copy/download the covers to your loader's cover folders.

@brendy03
I think the best way to add help to the app is using hint windows. ie. When you hover over a control, a hint will pop up with a description of the option etc. It would take a bit of time to write the hints, but much quicker than writing a full help file.

The game info will eventually be used from wiitdb.xml, so the images for the controllers supported etc. will be shown somewhere in the app.

@marianoblesa
You mean renaming titles to different languages? You can download the WiiTDB titles in your language from the settings dialog.

@MysticX
It's not possible to use anything other than the physical sector size for WBFS drive just now (if you try, you'll see a warning dialog), so the limit is still 500 games for WBFS. Hopefully it'll be supported in a cIOS soon.

It's recommended to use 32K clusters with NTFS and FAT32. There's no game limit using either filesystem, but it's supposed to be faster for the Wii to read clusters that size. Any cluster size 32K and below should work OK though.

thanks fig! I wish WBM could save the covers directly in the WBFS partition so there will be no need to use FAT partitions or SD Cards, maybe in future versions??

Thanks for your support, you're doing a great job!

Not possible.

don´t worry, it won´t be used on the Wii, instead it´s in my case, so the Wii´s game limit is no problem for me, the problem is that Wii Backup Manager can read more than 500 games, so I should format it to NTFS 32K cluster, then WBM should not "stop" at 500 games?

In that case, there must be a corrupt game that causes the thread to terminate early, so any games after that aren't listed.

I fixed that for zero length files, bad Wii disc partitions etc. but there must be something wrong with one of the files that I haven't accounted for.

The fact that it stops at 500 is just a coincidence, there's no limit with NTFS. The cluster size wouldn't make any difference either.

If you email me the log, there might be something there that'll help me track down what's wrong with the file that causes it. There should be an exception shown in the log when the thread terminates.

hi!

Ok, first I´ll have to transfer them all again, since I splitted the partition and then removed it and have now made a single partition. And the games are split over a few drives, so you´ll have your answer in a couple of days.

@122
You need to set up your cover folders in the settings, then "Download and sync"..

eg. If you're using CFG, select the CFG config and set the base folder to something like "D:\usb-loader\covers". The path that CFG will load the covers from, either on your SD card or FAT32 drive.

@MysticX
The last 10 logs are stored in the log folder. If you can find one from before, it'll save you a lot of hassle transferring the games again.

don´t matter, it´s too long ago when I splitted the HDD into 2, so the log doesn´t exist. But, wanyways, that tricked worked since now it´s over the said limit

Just some ideas.

1) It would be nice if the file names were correct for which ever usb loader you've selected by default, instead of having to change it. Eg. Wiiflow uses titles.ini and custom_titles.ini not titles.txt and custom-titles.txt files.

2) Have the custom files structure is the way that the usbloaders are looking for them. Eg. Having the [TITLES] and [COVERS] in there by default for wiiflow.

3) Having an option to change the cover colour. Say using something like a paint palette.

Great program as it is though, been very useful!

I've converted some games with 0.3.8 build 61 to .ciso, now I see some strange behaviour. Wii Backup Manager reports Size 4MB for each game, and partitions ????.
Ok, then i tried to open these .ciso files with 0.3.5 and it also reports a size of 4MB each file. Something is broken in the CISO convertion in 0.3.8???

@wiimanofthenorth
1) Makes sense.

2) I'll have a think about that.
3) You mean the display background, or the actual PNG images? I think it would be better to change the colours as a feature in the loader, using vertex colours.

@dhwz
You definitely used build 61 to create the CISOs? CISO writing was broken in an earlier version, but they should be OK now. I tested a few and they work OK in build 61..

For 3, I can only explain from what I see in Wiiflow or CFG. The 3D cases within wiiflow can be changed by using hex numbers within the titles_custom.ini file. Which I'm sure you know. Currently that has to be hand typed in. Just thought it would be kinda cool to be able to choose the case colour while sending everything across to the USB drive. So the end use can just start using Wiiflow without having to mess about even more. (Even the wiiflow people do decide to add a case colour changer some day?)

Messing around with the colours though, I need notice one thing. Since your program doesn't currently check for [COVERS] it takes what ever is after the game code as being the game name. So a game gets called the hex number colour.

When the custom file is loaded into your program and say you had this in the titles_custom.ini file and knowing that R9JP69=Rock Band: The Beatles

Code:
[TITLES]
R33P69=Rock Band: AC/DC Live Song Pack
R34E69=Rock Band: Country Track Pack
R36E69=Rock Band: Green Day

[COVERS]
R9JP69=#FF0000FF

The game title for Rock Band: The Beatles is displayed as #FF0000FF.

So to fix that one right now one has to have...

CODE[TITLES]
R33P69=Rock Band: AC/DC Live Song Pack
R34E69=Rock Band: Country Track Pack
R36E69=Rock Band: Green Day
R9JP69=Rock Band: The Beatles

[COVERS]
R9JP69=#FF0000FF

And then select from the game name drop down as what it should really be.
