Hacking Wii backup loader......looks real!

Does anyone know if the backup loader can play games from other regions?
Like playing a NTSC game on a PAL wii.

i tried GCOS, it wont boot game discs, it would need SDgecko or USB gecko to boot games
That wouldn't be a real problem, right? I mean, those are about 3-4 euros!

the backup loader can run other region games, there isnt any region lock

I thought the newest gamecube homebrew launcher fixed that. It now has access to the front SD card, so why would it need a gecko?

Because the program that loads the GC isos/backups uses a SDGecko or USBGecko. I installed this Gamecube Homebrew Launcher yesterday and it worked fine, GC games still work aswell. Then I loaded USBBoot to load Paper Mario: TYD on my Wii and it worked fine, but you need a USBGecko, or a cheaper alternative a SDGecko.

Yeah, but were talking about GCOS. it just loads the copied disk that has been inserted.

USBGecko and SDGecko I prefer anyway, I don't want to waste DVD's burning games away, with USBGekco I keep multiple isos my harddrive, and with SDGecko I keep multiple on one SDCard. You won't be able to run GCOS without a modded Wii I believe. So you can give up on that, though you can still run GC backups like I mentioned above.

If you don't believe it, then don't believe it. You don't have to come here and berate the person for making a video. Even if it does turn out to be fake.

I could understand if he was being obnoxious about the video, posting all over the forums, but he's sticking to one thread and following the rules.

You think its fake? Then just let the thread die and disappear into nothing.

Otherwise, just shut up and wait for proof. The creator doesn't have to provide a movie production video just to convince you.

Wait for the code. If it doesn't come, or if it turns out to be fake, just call him a jerk and be done.

Pointless... all day we had a nice little chat about things that are now even more possible and couldn't be bothered with this "fake" arguement, personally I would of read the whole forum before deciding on what I wanted to right.

As of now I'm keeping a very close eye on this forum as more and more seems to come spilling out and more ideas are created. As soon as this is released another wave of homebrew apps will hopefully follow.

but you shouldn't be so sick because I didn't see so much people claiming it's fake here..; on the contrary, most people tend to believe it and this has been said may times to be highly possible... so really, nothing worse debatting or getting irritated

Yeah.. and who hacked the Wii? Got around Nintendo's anti-hack? Wrote the Wii homebrew devkit? Documented the Wii's hardware?

Obviously bushing matters, though his anti-piracy bullshit makes him a horrible person. As far as authors of software to use with bushings hack, Wan is the only one who wrote something remotely useful.
