Honestly how can you 'kill' something that has around 4 or 5 actual good games, the rest is already the garbage the other already pirated systems get.

Don't get me wrong, I like the Wii and everything, its just I don't really see how it could get much worse when it comes to game choice... I mean.. come on... Gingerbread Man...

I'm more interested in your tools Dack, it's finally your scrubbing tool achievement.

I've some question though :
- Does the iso backup loader (let's use this name for the moment) is based on your scrubbing and trimming process ?

- For the mutli disc iso, is that the cIOS which read the data at the wright place on the DVD, or does the patching process change the DVD TOC before burning ?
or maybe it's both of them, TOC changed + cIOS reading the new TOC ?


If you can't say it yet, i understand, I will wait the release to feed my curiosity ^^

Does this allow you to play GC games or not?

My guess is no due to the fact that you'd have to be running this in Wii mode, and you aren't able to play GC games via Wii mode.

I hope to be told otherwise though.

I remember linkinworm saying it wont let you play GC games for some weried reason, but I', not 100% sure on that, I havent really talked about playing GC games.
I would love to play GC games though because I never played on a GC, I didnt even hear of it, before I got a wii.

i named it like that, because that one was working, i had more versions after that, and i didnt want to replace a working one with a nonworking one.

The final step in wii hacking now is to be able to boot gamecube homebrew ithout using action replay. because if we can boot GCOS, we can boot copied GC games.

also, a good thing would be to see if you can get this incorparated into GeckoOS

Oh yeah, I knew about that one. Has it actually been confirmed that this can boot GCOS? I don't like the idea of installing a WAD-file which I don't know of what it does exactly.

I dunno if it can boot the GCOS, but by reading the wiki, it looks like it patches the wii somehow, so it's not only a channel wich can be installed and removed with the wad installer/uninstaller.

someone confirm? or i've misread the description?

i tried GCOS, it wont boot game discs, it would need SDgecko or USB gecko to boot games
