this is why i wait for pall games, and really i am fine that way since there is only 1 ntsc game i would like to try , plus keeping a wii upgraded on latest nintendo software is way less than a pain, and since i do own original games its a must, because the games itself ask you to upgrade your wii.

There are ways to "go around" to play the new games, but, they dont work for all the games, so without updating there is alot of games you cant play.

Its not possible, at least u installed a loader or forwarder..some shitty software of any kind, because since 4.2 we (Hardmoders) can't play out of region games. I have one Wii with Wiikey II and one with WODE. No Software on my Wii (not even the HomebrewC.) and I can't play NTSC Games.

ManFranceGermany, have you tried DKCR on the one with Wiikey2 yet? Mine is already on 4.3E (since diskupdate from epic mickey or black ops), but DKCR asks for a softwareupdate, so i'm hesitating a little.

(Read somewhere that it might got something to do with a new shoppingchannel IOS (that must have been missing from previous diskupdates?), so i'm gonna check later today if can connect to the shoppingchannel. I vaguely remember i had to do a internet-update when i enabled my internet connection, but not sure if it was before or after the 4.3E update)

Kanahpoo, if your wii is USA and the donkey kong you got is also USA / ntsc you probably can update it without any problems, but, if your planning to download Pal version, and then update it on your wii, dont do that, you may "break" your wii forever.

I live in Europe (reallyshould adapt my flag, i know

) so i'm playing PAL games on my PAL Wii, but thx for the concern!
I know it's probably ok, but really wanna be sure it doesn't result in bricking my Wii

i played the game and its working fine on my wii its also pal, but it didnt ask any update you probably just missing something, its 99% sure that its safe to upgrade trough game.

Well if a PAL Wii with wasabi dx and 4.3 works then a Wiikey2 should be alright ... guess i'll give it a go tonight .. fingers crossed

kanah, there are some programs that check the ID of the iso, like to tell you if its ntsc or pal, you should use in your DK iso to check, because you dont want too put a ntsc update on a pal wii
