No it said it was free if you pre-order or purchase GH5. But the retail game is coming out on Dec 22nd

I don't even bother with official GH releases anymore. I just make my own custom games and don't bother waiting for the real releases (as I only have guitars, no drums, etc)

Well that's pretty crappy, I was hoping they finally got it together for GH5 and any games after that. I prefer to use the RB2 drums as my GH Orange Cymbal has died on me :/

They're an incredibly easy to produce cash cow.

Think about it: if we can make our own customs so fast, a paid team can make their own customs just as fast if not faster. A few custom intros and boom, another $45+ disk that took them a month in production since all the backend was already there. The hardest part of these releases is getting the master tracks from the studios, which is probably not too hard anymore given the popularity and success of these games. The first two Guitar Hero games were much more difficult because a cover/tribute band had to learn (note for note, not an easy task) all of the songs and those had to go through the usual studio process. This usually takes several months on its own just from the angle of getting the audio right. Now that part is taken out of the equation, so it's just a matter of plugging colored dots onto a template.

ROCK BAND: QUEEN

You know it's going to happen. I mean ROCK=QUEEN=GUITAR=BRIAN MAY=GH/RB. I hope it will be the Rockband franchise for that one, because RB: Beatles blew me away. I'm actually listening to the Beatles on an almost daily basis since that game.

That can happen...but the 10-pack and We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions in Lego RB will keep you entertained for a long while. I highly recommend the 10-pack. It's the only full pack I've donwloaded for RB so far. Worth the hefty amount of points...

Lego Queen is OK enough for me, plus I can play the 10-pack in that game anyway

I'm with you on the RB:Beatles being amazing. The Mrs(not a gamer) and I have a couple of drinks and we can easily lose most of the evening into the early hours playing it on and off-line... and make us very bleary eyed in the morning!

My vote would be either RB:Led Zep or Rolling Stones though.

As for this Van Halen thing we have here....hmmm.... I was totally blown away by just how BLOODY AWFUL the Aerosmith one was. The Metallica one i played through the career and haven't played it since.....

Van Halen, even with the tracks by the other artists just doesn't justify the cash for this so i shall be steering well clear.
