Uhh, I have the original NMH dump (xxx-nmh) and it's working quite well on Gamma - it does not crash in either of the situations they list. I'm pretty sure it's not a bad dump like these guys are claiming...

Very few people had issues with the original release due to literally only a few bytes were bad, this proper release fixes those bytes and now plays perfectly for everyone. Thus 99% of people would have played the original just fine and not have noticed the issue.

Or so I'm told, the group is known for doing various dumps with bad video data and since this release fixes a few bytes (compare it), it's good.

That makes no sense. All the Wiis are the same; if one person is having a problem then everyone should be having a problem. It's not as if 99% of the Wiis out there have some magical piece of code to fix bad bytes.

The only thing I noticed from the original one was terrible FPS.. would that be a factor of the "bad bytes"

If only a few bytes differ in the two releases, wouldn't it be better to create a patch file?
This would save us from downloading another 4.7 GB...

But no-one is forcing you to download another copy of the game.

Very surprised that they didn't release a .ppf for those who had already got the release, especially if it was only a few bytes!

Hm... Releasedate in the NFO says "Release Date: 16.03.2008" that was yesterday before a year... So maybe it was overseen since yet and just got listed because someone hasn't seen it's from 2008?
