Anyone know what SP does in this game? Been playing with my girlfriend for like five hours still don't know what it does. And does anyone know how to quit out of a game without going to the Wii Home menu?

EDIT: And for the skeptics, if you have someone to play with this game is awesome. My girlfriend and I haven't played a game this long, non-stop (I think it was like three to four hours last night) since Mario Galaxy. Mind you, we were taking turns for that game.

Just wanted to echo this. I was playing with my girlfriend last night. We played until we were both half asleep, it was great. She turned into some kind of demon and killed me many times, put monsters back on my towns, etc.

What I need is some kind of a FAQ or strategy guide so I know a little bit more about what's going on. I know about all kinds of RPGs, but I found myself experimenting with the game all over the place. Does the game come with any decent instruction that would be worth scanning? Good thing I learned a lot during the IGN review.

It's in your items, those "scrolls" that you get. Press + or R(depends on controller)
(Or at least that should be it...)

Thank you for your answer.

What I mean is, whenever I find something like "lock", "atrophy" or "volt" and the like, I can't seem to find out how to use it. It doesn't show up in my items or anywhere at all, except at the shop when I'm there to sell magic. Do these only show up for magicians? (I played as a thief and warrior)

Don't tell me I never gave you anything (I dunno why I even said that, but somehow it just felt like the right thing to do)

Dokapon Kingdom - Manual

I've only skipped the cover, warnings, and credits.

Edit: I refreshed the link. Should it ever be broken when you click on it - just send me a PM and I'll upload the manual again, I've got it on my hard drive anyway

Anyway, just tested this on my OpenWii'd PAL Wii, works fine when brickblocked, just run from disc channel normally.

Runs for mee too, same setup as above, but the game stops responding or crashes as soon as the Story mode starts (after setting up players). Anyone with same problem?
I'll try burning one more time, hope that helps.

Great! I'm a real Dokapon addict.
I've played all of its japanese predecessors (on MSX, SNES, N64, GameCube, PS2) with my brothers and father for the last 20 years ! We kept lists of all the items and their Japanese characters so we knew what items to use (on each other).
We had a lot of arguments over these multiple day/night sessions, but it always was fun!

If you want to win, here are some tips:
- make sure you level up on speed all of the time (and some health). when you've got a lot of speed, no-one is able to use items or magic on you - you're just to fast.
- don't level up on attack and defense - you can always buy or steal these (swords and armor) in the shops.
- it's possible to heal enemies when your opponents are fighting them! do this and defeat the wounded enemy yourself.
- always carry some snakebites.
- when you defeat someone, steal their weapon.
- it's possible to defeat the sherif by the way, tell everyone to use snakebites on him.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze

    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb

    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
