I just tried that, wanted to force GERMAN language (i used TruchaSigner and WiiGameLanguagePatcher)

- doesn't work! no german language after starting the patched game

text and voice is still english

EDIT:
proof that this version is Multi2 indeed:
Partion 2 / Root / Data / Audio ---- there are 2 folders: eng and dut (for english and dutch)

so we have to wait a few days (or hours?

) for a de/fr/it/sp release for the wii

Is this one better than FIFA 08?
I felt like I wasted a DVD burning that game, and I have no RWs right now...

So I have some questions to the guys that already played it:

1- Does it have local multiplayer? (how many players? 1, 2 ,3 , 4?)
2- Controls? (same crappy controls as in 08?)
3- Graphics? (not like graphics= good game, but 08s graphics were insulting)
4- Game modes? Can you create players? (I love this feature in PC versions)

thanks in advance

1. of course, even the first FIFA in 1993 had 4-Player mode
2. i just played 2-3 matches on the wii yet (and 1 on 360)
3. i think the graphics are little bit better than the 08's
4. no, you can't create players. game modes: friendly, leagues + cups (even mexico
wink.gif
), online friendly+league, challenge (didn't try it), + some mini game stuff called FOOTii or something

somehow it looks, plays, smells and tastes better then last years FIFA for the wii
biggrin.gif

...and if you don't like the controls just play it with your Gamecube Controller (i just did that too)

(btw: i'm an ISS and PES fan waiting for the new one for Xbox360)

I love the new controls and as someone said above, if you want classic football action, use the GC pad - at least you have the option.

The new control scheme is great, im still getting used to not having to press B for through ball like in 08, because of the new point and pass/ through pass controls. Its definitely better than 08, i loved 08 and played many many hours of 08 so i already know with the new controls update, im going to be playing this until the next instalment again!

Fabulous

I had an hour on it last night. It appears they want you to just use the Wiimote on it's own as the default controller if the Football Academy is anything to go by, it tells you to remove the nunchuk. Point and A to pass, B to run, flick to shoot. If you stick the nunchuk in then B to run stops working, you then use the nunchuk stick and Z to sprint. I couldn't find any lob pass but flick the remote was 'ball clearance'. Defending was A to control nearest man, flick to slide tackle and I think B to normal tackle or it was auto, I don't know.

The gamecube controller had a lob pass, shoot, pass and through ball, also a trigger for sending a player running forward, he would have a few arrows next to him as he ran, I don't think you can do this with the wiimote control.

It's not a bad game.

if you like this and if you havent played it yet, try pro evo or wait for pro evo 2009, pretty much same controls (but done better in my opinion, i was a fifa fan but was turned by this game). it has a great road to world cup mode. i will be playing this to see if it has a similar one player mode, and hopefully the online will have improved

This game is actually alright, played for a couple of hours last night, Pro Evo 2008 on the wii was just really really sucky, play normally without point and play on this and you can have a semi decent game of footie on the wii, still... FIFA 09 on 360 later hopefully to play.

I've had about 10 games online and only 1 has lasted the full game, the rest lost connections that happen about 10 minutes into the game.

Is anyone else having problems online?
