Is this game the same as the Harvest moon from release 0179, or is 0179 a new one and this release is a gamecube port ?

That is the new Harvest Moon coming for Wii.

This is a Wii port of the second one for Gamecube. European translation was a bit late for Gamecube, so they thought of porting it to Wii.

Gonna play it, love the Harvest Moon series

Even though I didn't like the first Gamecube one too much.

No, its release date for the US hasn't been announced (The Wii version of the game).

However, the US version of the Gamecube game (Just looked up - there is a Gamecube version of this game) is released...

The gamecube original was 5x50mb, this seems a prime candidate for a scrub...

For some reason, the PAL version had been delayed massively. The US GC one came out in spring 2006.

IIRC... Rising Star is a European division of the Japanese publisher for this series, and they don't have a US office.

Similar to how Atlus and NIS both have a US and Japan office, but neither has one in Europe.
