Hacking widescreen health screen

Ok so to loose borders the wii has to be 4:3 to display a 16:9 health otherwise it drops in black bars on a widescreen tv so the options are:

find a way to get it to boot in 4:3 then into 16:9 after health screen

find a way of editing so it doesn't add borders.

any ideas?

Someone should get the original healthscreen iamge from the .app, add some white boarders to it and then check if that fits in 16:9 screens. If it does then we should check how it does it.

This thread has to be worth a bump. I suspect Golfman560's suggestion would reveal the borders, and a clever hack will be required.

that would be a good idea. Is it possible to make the preloader do this considering how it is installed in the wii?

ive geven up on this just use POC with replace health with back hack
