Hacking why you dont like emu nand ?

I used to use menuhax and you can't really say that it takes longer now unless you have used A9LH alongside it, I'm not sure ANYONE remembers but at first A9LH + Sysnand was NOT safe so it was generally A9LH + Emunand.

But when A9LH + sysNAND wasn't safe was back when A9LH wasn't really that popular due to it being much more complicated to get installed (including needing to compile things). I'm more talking about when safeA9LHinstaller came about and simplified it, and when more people started installing A9LH a little over a year or so ago.

I guess all EmuNand is useful now is if you are scared of bricking somehow(safety net), developers or gateway users.

14.8 - 1.3 = 13.5GB
A GB I could use towards, games, music or pictures.

you are very cheap with a 16 gb sd card, in a 64gb card you dont feel it

If you want your emunand, good keep it. But don't ask for help with it since it's an outdated method.
The GW Emunands' aren't bricked. They're just screwed, since there isn't anyway to boot A9HL anymore for 11.3+ people. What's on the emunand is still there and perfectly safe.

emuNAND is far from outdated, and it has many use cases that make it actually useful. With most A9LH CFW supporting emuNAND you are way off on that "outdated" statement.
Now if you made it just gateway you could maybe have a point.

Gateway was made because it was the first flash cart and then came along all these other hacks and now its at a point where everything else seems obsolete but your all forgetting everything at some point was leading edge exploits and also the stepping stone to the next era of hacks.

Unless you're a dev, what purpose do you even have to use an emuNAND?
I can understand installing it to test your method if you're paranoid about installing to the system, but seriously, what's the difference between emunand and sysnand to a NORMAL user? I personally do have an emunand but I also play with things that could destroy things.
But for normal users who just wanna "backup" games, play with some homebrew now and then, there absolutely is no point that I can actually think of.

"To protect from a brick" that falls under "play with things that could destroy things" before anyone tries that argument.
I'm not hating emunands,I do use an emu because of my FW I play around with, I just dislike seeing normal people defending something they have no true use for, it's idiotic.

Also A9LH is a better choice for "normal" users, it takes less space, payloads boot prior to console booting into it's OS, and because of this method, the sysNAND can almost always be restored.
The only time is can't is if you're personally playing with things you shouldn't as a normal user and that falls back under why devs use emunands.

So being a normal user, installing themes, cia files, etc. You have no issue, worst case I ever had with a bad cia file was it freezing when trying to load it.

dev = emunands, because playing with code that can destroy things permenently (Never had that issue though)
user = A9LH, just use backups and homebrew, occasional cia install, 100% easy recovery

that is wrong. 16GB = 16GB, and 16GB is roughly 14.9GiB.

Windows is stupid and says GB while showing GiB, I guess?

It's not that we don't 'like' it - it's no longer necessary because we no longer rely on SysNAND exploits. It's that simple.

Lets be honest, most people use A9LH + CFW or <Exploit-Name> + CFW for piracy everything is just a stepping stone for the next, yes there is also modding and what not but being 100% truthful a lot of people use for piracy mainly.

Honestly I feel that is accurate. If someone wanted only to run mods, they could do that with just userland for the most part. CFW is mainly for piracy, with CIA homebrew more being an additional feature rather than the main use.

That is still irrelevant to the only point I was making. All I did was state that GW was literally created with gray area/illegal stuff in mind. Luma wasn't created for that purpose, Corbenik wasn't created for that purpose, hell, even RXTools itself wasn't created for that purpose (it had sigpatches disabled until people added Pasta). Sig patching is a part of the scene now because we rely on being able to launch unsigned titles.

GW Emunand works fine with 11.3........ but currently only with franken firmware, what you need is nver,cver,eshop,eshop mini applet, friends module from 11.3 (eShop works, online in games works) and in combinatin with NTR 3.4 you can use use Pokebank 1.3 and NNID related things. For everyone interested, Just dont update your NATIVE FIRM (11.3) and you wll be fine.

Basically, all is working fine.... you dont need to wait for the upcomming "revolutionary" GW update (whatever that means).

At that point why not just set up Luma? Everything should work without having to jump through hoops like that. I'm genuinely curious why you still choose to use gateway when you have to go through so much effort just to do simple things like that when it's going to be easier, especially in the long run, to just set up Luma instead.

You're forgetting that old school GW users also cannot be asked to transfer save files lol.
