Hacking Why won't TWLmenu++ run New Super Mario Bros?

TWLmenu is amazing and works with basically every game I've thrown at it.
Except, for some reason, New Super Mario Bros. Funnily enough, rom hacks of it like Newer work perfectly, and run fantastic with framerate buffs. But the regular thing, regardless of region, doesn't work. The first time, it makes the FAT files and whatnot and ends up frozen with top screen black bottom screen white. Any time after that, it doesn't even start NDS-Bootstrap and just white screen freezes!

where did you get the rom from?

if you try extracting the rom from the original cartridge, then maybe it will work??? I really find this odd, New Super Mario Bros. works completely fine for me

I just can't delete questions on gbatemp for some reason
