Gaming Why PS VITA?

But what's so special?
Homebrew, games, design, polls
Because from what I hear everyone loves it but there isn't any games
@WiiMiiSwitch ,perhaps it will not have recent or new games like the Nintendo Switch, but at the modding level the new Switch Patches aren't blocked.

Looks great, feels great, has great games (quality over quantity!), it's powerful, battery lasts forever, has backwards compatibility with tons of classics (including PSP's massive library), supports remote play. Homebrew makes it even better with things like emulators to play your old games, moonlight to stream PC games, tools to mod existing games, ports from other systems, and even some original homebrew games.

The only negative is its scarcity after it was abandoned, because Sony's executives are bad at their jobs.

It's a neat handheld experience if you have interest in it. Convenience from its PS4 Remote Play app and Moonlight being kept up to date makes it wonderful for playing in bed (Joycons be damned). It is losing native support however but I wouldn't imagine going anywhere else to play PSP games as authentically as possible, y'know.

Best quality, portability form factor, best feeling buttons, no stick drift (cough Switch cough), PS1, PSP, and PS Vita games, free online, party chat with friends even if you’re not playing the same game, OLED screen, thriving homebrew community, no bans for using homebrew, Bluetooth, cheap games, so much more

Also patched PSTV is the most easily portable console for connecting to TV wherever you are, just add DS4. The emulation of old Sony systems is superb and other emu homebrews are nice bonus - I've been enjoying ScummVM content a lot lately. Scumm is best done on PSTV with BT keyboard/mouse though, not on regular Vita.

Been very happy on my Jap fat at first and then when I found used PSTV dirt cheap had to snatch that as well.

it's very easily the best handheld next to the switch, and it can be argued that it's even better depending on what you're looking for. I've had my vita since 2014, I bought it second hand, and it's served me well. the games are fantastic and unique and they play well. the console itself just feels nice to hold. Literally the only things I don't like about it are the placement of the speakers and that the sticks aren't raised far enough away from the console and it feels a little awkward. both problem were solved very easily by using headphones and getting some joystick caps.

Ok... there are the top 3 handhelds of all time.
Switch
3DS (BC with DS games)
PS Vita (BC with PSP Games)

The vita is the best thing on sliced bread for the Sony handheld experience because you have PS4,PS Vita Games, PSP, and PS1 games in the palm of your hand. If you buy the L2/R2 shell case you will have perfect grip because the PS Vita only lacked L2/R2 buttons. I really wish Sony put more time into the Vita like they did the PSP.

Do I use my vita no I don't because I have other consoles/systems to play but I have to say the vita is in the top 3 of best handhelds of all time.

Iuno, I bought one for fun, before the price skyrocketed. I also bought a n3DS XL before the price skyrocketed. Lucky me.

Vita is okay, I like the screen, it's purty.
