Why are EA making FIFA 14 for Wii, but not for Wii U? Idiots. They're even making it for PS2. And if they think the Wii U is underpowered, it's much more powerful than the Wii, which is underpowered compared to the other consoles of its generation.

Because, it's EA; no one expected any less out of the master of trolling. ;)

They already stated that the reason is money.

Wii: everyone has one (or two)
Wii U: 15 people have one

But PS2? Really? What in the holy name of hell possessed them to work on a console that's less powerful than the Wii U, when they claimed that the Wii U was weak?

Maybe if they, you know actually put the effort into their ports and not half-assed ports like Fifa of Madden games with missing features and Mass Effect 1 2 and 3 instead of just 3, maybe their games would, you know, sell?

"Our ports were rushed and have missing core features of the game, why aren't they selling, derr, herr herr! "

Gimme a break.

Because the PS2 has a massive install base in a lot of developing markets and a still not inconsiderable one in existing markets, markets that also noted fans of football?

And yet they have the balls to complain about consoles with weak hardware?

Unless they are complaining the Wii U is too weak to develop fifa for (though the Wii U and PS2 architectures are not exactly that similar so it could stand even then) I do not see the issue.

*Cough* Ultimate trolling pussies *cough*. Sorry, allergies kicking in again. Stupid inversion. If no one knew any better, they'd assume that picture was Photoshopped, which sadly, it isn't. I might have to make an N64 version of that box art.

How can the Wii U be too weak to develop fifa for, if they made it on the ps2 and the Wii U for fifa 13?

I did not say that. If you are talking about the bracketed text then we get to discuss software development -- at this point I imagine the PS2 is not really amenable to the higher level software development and so things will be coded to it far more so than other things and porting low level code from somewhat different architectures is no fun at all.

If you have a Wii U can't you play Wii games on it? I understand what the issue is, not having the game dev'd for Wii U but it's not like you'd be completely ham-boned and miss out on playing it. As far as a PS2 version I think it's a good call on their part. As mentioned before PS2 already has a wide base and people are still buying/playing/dev PS2 so why not? There's just some people who haven't made the jump to these last batch of consoles. Devs are still making NES games for crying out loud! (Retro City Rampage for instance) A friend of mine only has a PS2. Even now, I'm still rocking the Wii (softmod) and don't see myself getting the Wii U anytime soon. Nothing has really grabbed my attention yet. Maybe when the new Zelda comes out I'll decide if I want to invest in one but right now I'm fine with what I have. My dad has a PS3 and some of the things about PS4 have turned him off to the idea (PlaystationPlus required to play online multiplayer, no support for current PSN games) but he says he'd still like to get one at some point down the road. Don't forget what brought us to this point. Appreciate the pioneers that paved the way for what we have today. It's sad for me to see things phased out and everybody is ready to dump their old systems for the new puppy in the window (the one with the waggly tail). Another thing too is who's to say there won't be a future release when the time finally does come (We're barely in Q2 of the year). If it sells good on the earlier consoles and the demand goes up it would be foolish of them not to cash cow on that. To not only have it on next gen consoles but current gen and previous gen too? They'd be high not to.

I was really confused until i remember that the USA is the only place we call "football" "soccer".
