Hacking why is there a downgrade guide to 4.0

how come anyone would really need this guide.back when i first softmodded my wii like in october 2008 i was a 3.3U wii.i followed a guide to get to 3.2U.so if any one follow this guide for downgrading shouldn't they only need to use cios downgrader to get back to 3.2.

for those of you that never downgraded before i guess this guide is for you but do people that downgaded before really need to follow this guide.

i just want the info so i know if i ever want to downgrade from 4.0 for reasons i can't think of because i have no problems with it because it works like my 3.2U wii with the sd card feature.also i feel like if i attempt this my wii might brick and now that 4.0 is around there is no way to get a hacked wii anymore for now.

It looks like that guide is for people who didn't have cIOS installed before updating.

If you already have cIOS installed, then you can just run cIOS downgrader.
You could also do it with AnyRegion Changer

well i do have cios installed. .i installed rev 9 before using the 4.0 updater.so iguess you answered my question.
