I have never had any problems with comcast
I have daily problems. They throttled my upload speed to 0.1MB/s for no reason and it's been this way since September. I can barely even upload videos or play games online without disconnecting... The internet randomly goes out, and sometimes uploading is completely gone (can't even connect to a website because it requires to upload a cookie). The support is retarded and refuse to help with this problem

But yeah it's been slow, and when a Comcast user is able to call something slow, it's must be pretty slow

Wow, that's SUPER weird. And I live in the south, a place known for slow internet. That's really weird.

It doesn't seem weird to me considering there's countless articles hating on Comcast for pretty much this same reason

My speed is about 12ms ping, 90MB/s download, and 0.1MB/s upload (When it's able to even get to the upload test without saying Network communications error)

your router/modem might be to blame. When they go bad they do weird shit
Yeah, but it depends how long OP has had his/her router. I just got a little slowdown of opining my notifications (but I am running 3 torrents so that might be the cause)

lol it's neither, router is 1 year old and modem is 2 years old, and I said I was getting 504, that means that the server wasnt responding quick enough, and I do regular speed tests/isitdownrightnow checks to confirm whether it's me or them.

In spite of yesterdays fixes, you should know there are still frequent times where the server performs automatic database backups and that unfortunately slows the server down a bit. It doesn't usually last long but it does happen. Still need to figure out a way to prevent slowdowns during backups, but it's a complex problem when you consider our database is exceptionnally large.

I have already set the backup command to run with the lowest possible system priority. But that apparently isn't enough, I need to explore other options... not as easy as it seems

Actually, the reason is that all Xenforo boards use a ton of AJAX. The problem is that it isn't coded right.

Welp, that sounds like any and every ISP on my country :P
I'm curious, if they bring you so much problems why not change ISP?
