Yeah it was even better when true blue tried to DRM a 4.21 CFW then forcing the hand of devs that had the lv0 keys and releasing them. Now we have 4.21 CFW and so on

Much like the 3ds what if gateway came out with a 3ds CFW. You pay $80 then you download a system update that is filled with DRM and brick code man people would love that

yeah but you can't do anything with it besides backing up your nand or dumping your game cards I think? No homebrew or roms without that red card is inserted

I guess Gateways solution isn't what you are actually after as they don't allow access for us to install .cia files and such. There is also a lack of devs on this scene. Unlike the ps3 scene, the number of people who have access to exploitable 3ds systems is incredibly low. Thus there is little to no interest developing for such a low number of people to enjoy.

Why is there so much hate over smea. That kid gets like 20 tweets a day saying "FAKE" or flaming the shit out of him. Just wait he will deliver. The ps3 scene has sort of died in terms of developing you get a new CFW when sony releases there's so people can go online. I'm still on rebug waiting for a new rebug but no online for me

seems your trolling your own thread, but as people have already said, the 3ds hack is out in the open what it seems you want is a compiled rom loader and the source code for gateway itself....not a public exploit like it already pretty much is, anyone with the technical know how can do whatever they like

I didn't start it. You even told me I got myself stabbed like I was asking for it. I already said lock it since it got way off topic. And yes a rom loader would put gateway and every other flashkit out of business but it's not what I want it's what should be already here. The moment the devs that are here found out it was all software they should have released a loader for everyone since they made one anyway.

What? Wouldn't that help the scene by producing more exploitable 3ds systems and get more devs involved. Nobody that has knowledge of the scene hates Smealum. The only haters are those that think SSSpwn will allow running backups and those on this forum who believe it can somehow be reverse engineered to run said backups. Mostly just "pirates" who want everything handed to them on a plate and can be bothered in finding a 4.5 3DS.

FYI: Mods maybe pissed when they have clean up you're you double and triple posts.

Oh for the love of...

1. Smealum's exploit is not the same as the one Gateway uses.
2. Gateways's hack is not only software based. Copying it won't help.
3. SSSpwn requires you to run the exploit through whatever game you need to run it on. Of course you need to buy the game and SSSpwn is free as far as I know.
4. Only Gateway devs have made a ROM loader publicly.

hey I have a gateway and it's cool having all your games on one card and it works well. But we can all agree it's all software and there is no need for the gateway card it self. I asked you before why can't I run homebrew on my r4i deluxe you said I needed a gateway or wait for ssspwn so I did the only thing I could do so I could try some new homebrew

What's the deal with demonizing Gateway for making money (excluding discussion of the bricking code)? They're not obligated to release anything for free, there is no "hard cap" for their profits and it's up to others if they want to put their time forward for free.
