Because it's better stay the night away playing videogames and drinking beer with the friends than spent the the night drinking and dancing with girls in a club.

i always just thought it was entertainment/addiction

personally i'd rather play any sort of video games, than to sit in a dark room with a candle lit doing nothing. holy crap how did humanity survive before video games!?!

I don't know... I played WoW like it was a full-time job in the summer. Now I'm just pissed it takes 10hrs for one level in The Burning Crusade... dam game I want to quit.
