Are you saying you reformatted, but you still can't delete anything?

If so, you (probably) need a new hard drive. Along with that, chkdsk (or whatever it's called) comes with Windows... as far as I've known.

...I'm confused.

You formatted the entire drive or just a partition? Did you re-install the system?

I imagine he formatted his entire drive, reinstalled Windows and restored from a backup. I hope he restored from a backup anyway and isn't now going to be asking us how to recover his data.

As for complicating the issue it's not doing that. If anything it's oversimplifying it. Think how many computer issues would be fixed by a reformat and reinstall. Virtually all of them. It's overkill, yes, but complicated? Not really. Especially if you don't give a shit about the data.

Formatting the drive means moving all your essential files to another drive (and scanning them with AV to prevent viruses from spreading onto another computer you're using to store the data or from re-implementing them to the one you're formatting after the deed is done), re-installing the system, re-installing all your applications, re-creating all your application-specific settings, all file associations and you still need to defragment the drive to reach peak performance.

Fixing the system is a matter of using one command and waiting for an hour or two.

Yes, it's over-complicating things if you do it the right way.

The solution might just be as simple as restarting your computer, it fixed it for me when I encountered that problem once. If it's still not deleting use unlocker as suggested and run it in safemode to be sure.
It sounded to me as if bradzx gave up on all his HDD files completely, if that's the case then what a waste of time.

Yeah I see that all the time.

Though it's often in the form of users getting an install that's damaged from the factory (accidental or companies changing things they shouldn't) and then using the factory restore discs/partition...
That kind of a recovery point is the worst.

All Hail the Bloatware!

Please help me fix this problem, even though I don't want to actually take anyone's advice, instead opting for my own ideas anyway. <--every single bradzx thread ever

Fixed. Made that a biiit more accurate.

This thread was about 5/10 for lols. Sorry brad you'll have to step it up a bit.

Eh. I am not worrying about that. Beside, I got my game back. Also All my video game that I has in folder, I put it in my sd card. So about data wont delete or come back, I just leave it that in my micro sd card and put on desktop. MSE and Java is back in one piece. :)

I'll just back up the data that was causing the issue to my microSD card and copy it to the desktop when it's needed. MSE and Java are working again

At least I think that's what it says... Seriously BradZX I know you tried to explain why your sentences make very little sense with your deafness but... surely somebody tried to teach you how grammar works. If English isn't your first language though you are excused.

You deserve a medal for even trying to decipher bradzx's posts.
