Gaming Who's importing from Japan on release?

As excited as I am for the 3DS, I'll wait until after the American launch date. That way I can actually read what's going on AND I will have a decent library of games to choose from.

i am waiting for 3 reasons
first is its cheaper in the united states
second, i can only read english
third is its only a month, not 6

If you thought about importing, then you should realize that400k units have sold already in Japan on it's first day. Any more waiting, and you may not have the option for a while.

I honestly don't see why people hate the region lock... Unless you're from Australia.

Australia got it bad... REALLY bad.

I wish I could import a 3DS, but I'll just wait for my pre-ordered American one.

There's quite a few great DS titles that you can't acquire state side without specialty shops or importing. >.> If they were region locked we'd have a problem O.o..

ie. Inazuma Eleven and One Piece Gigant Battle. If these were 3DS games, NA gamers wouldn't be able to play them.
Though an actual 3DS example is Phoenix Wright vs. Professor Layton which for now is not planned for an overseas release.

I mean, Unwound future came out in 2010 in NA but in Japan it was either 2007 or before that.

However, the chances of getting Specter's Flute and LaytonxAttorney are not tied since the latter is non canon.

I know that they said there is, but what if there isn't...
No one knows for sure until the US/EU 3DS
