Just wanting to know who is and would like to here reviews from you guys when you get it and how the gaming experience is. Only 3 more days until it is released.

If it wasn't region locked, I would definitely import it.

I don't see the point of importing one because:

A. I can't read Japanese.
B. I would have to keep importing games.
C. There aren't even any really good launch games...

I guess I can wait another month... It has been killing me since it was announced.

This ^

The region lock is kind of a BAD MOVE on nintendo's part, seeing as a few US denizens love to import games that will either never see the shores of the states or just love it for the Japanese text. I know a lot of people who do it for the latter >.>

I honestly don't see why people hate the region lock... Unless you're from Australia.

Australia got it bad... REALLY bad.

I wish I could import a 3DS, but I'll just wait for my pre-ordered American one.

There's quite a few great DS titles that you can't acquire state side without specialty shops or importing. >.> If they were region locked we'd have a problem O.o..

ie. Inazuma Eleven and One Piece Gigant Battle. If these were 3DS games, NA gamers wouldn't be able to play them.
Though an actual 3DS example is Phoenix Wright vs. Professor Layton which for now is not planned for an overseas release.

That's why we have flashcarts.

Yeah, but until we know if DS/i flashcarts are compatible (which we won't discuss), we'll just have to lament.

DS2... Now or later? Huh... xD

If it had been region free, I'd have preordered. Since it isn't I'll just have to wait and see for the Eu release.

not worth it to import
with slow paypal echecks being my only form of payment and shipping being at least a week i'd get it only two weeks before the australian release and i'd be stuck with a japanese unit meaning importing all my games and having to buy games in a language i don't read...

also, i'm getting mine at far below what it would cost to import
