and do I still need homebrew on the SD card to make it work?

the language depend on the LANG.ini in the SYSTEM/CONFIG folder in the SD

just released WiiHL 0.6 and updated my WiiHL ISO
that's much better, auto initialization of the wiimote (no need to press (1) + (2) to initialize)
