I'm using USB Loader GX to load up all of my games, including the Virtual Console titles I have installed on an emuNand. After solving previous issues with my setup, I've started testing all of my games and found out that Mario Party 2 stopped working.

After clicking on the game, the message "Please use a classic controller" appears, then a spinning N64 logo appears, which I'm assuming is a loading screen. The first few times, it spun for awhile before freezing permanently. Then, the couple of times after that, the logo faded out before the console froze on a black screen.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the wad using ShowMiiWads. The wad itself should be the official Nintendo wad for the game. There's no custom emulation here.

Here's a syscheck I took a few weeks back. It should still be accurate to my current setup.

Update if anyone can help. I've finally finished testing all of the games in my library. It's not just Mario Party 2 that doesn't work anymore, but a handful of other N64 games as well. Not all of them, but they're all games that got installed via the official VC channel WADs. Some work, some don't. Here's a list of all relevant games.

The games that DO work:
Super Mario 64
Yoshi's Story
Mario Kart 64
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Star Fox 64
Pokémon Snap
F-Zero X

The games that do NOT work (Black Screen crash with or without the spinning N64 logo):
Mario Party 2
Mario Golf
Mario Tennis
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards
Super Smash Bros.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling them with ShowMiiWads. I also tried to delete the Mario Golf save file from the Wii system menu in case corrupted saves is what caused it. Some sources online suggested tinkering some loader settings for region compatibility, but I've made sure to install only USA WADs for my NTSC-U system.

The only change that I can tell from my past setup is that I recently added Star Fox, Earthbound and F-Zero games. Perhaps it should be noted that with all those N64 games, plus the NES and SNES games I've installed, that would most certainly blow-out a physical Wii's internal storage. But this is all running from an emuNand. Tell me if I'm wrong, but one of the advantages of emuNand is the ability to have a nand as big as you're sd card allows, right ?

In any case, any suggestions as to what I can do would be very welcome.

Sorry for responding almost two months late, but I know exactly what the problem is.

What you're describing is a known issue. Until recently, those N64 games that you listed were notorious for not working when loaded from EmuNAND on d2x cIOS (it has to do with the way the way the ROMs are stored within the WADs for those games in particular). About eight months ago, the d2x cIOS was finally updated to be able to work with those games, and I can see from your sysCheck that you haven't updated yet (you're running d2x-v11beta1 and the latest version is d2x-v11beta3). Update your cIOS and create a new EmuNAND with the games you want on it, and it should work.
