Hi! I was gifted a modded dsi with games that came preinstalled, and some that I've moved over myself, that don't boot and hang in a white screen.
Games like Phantom hourglass work fine, but Professor Layton just sits white and doesn't change. The roms for these games work totally fine in emulator. I'm not super familiar with any of this software, but I tried launching through akmenu and twilight menu and roughly 70% of the games work. I also noticed the games that don't work have no icon, and don't have a titled entry in Unlaunch.

Could you elaborate at all? I'm not sure how I'm supposed to know what's wrong with a rom if it works perfectly fine on emulator and has the same file size as similar ones
I can't tell you what's wrong with it, I can only tell you that something's wrong with it

emulators aren't nearly as accurate as real hardware, something's very wrong with your roms if hardware cant even read the header

you're going to have to replace those roms, there's something wrong with them

Sounds more like there's an issue with the SD card. Try reformatting the SD card here: https://dsi.cfw.guide/sd-card-setup.html
If the issue persists, please post a picture of the SD card you're using.

Should I copy the information off, format, and move everything back on? Some games work completely fine through twilight menu still

Yes, you should.

So! I was looking through files when I was copying them over because it wouldn't do them all at once, and found this in the DCIM folder? Do you have any idea what was supposed to be here

Your SD card might be dying. Please get a new SD card.

That's not great! I have no experience installing any of this myself :( . If I'm still trying to make a backup of everything but the DCIM folder, what was it associated with? Is there a way to get a backup for it?
I don't understand your question, but it's likely anything that's on the SD card cannot be recovered.

Yes, RocketRobz is right about your SD card. It is very much a fake 16GB card so you'll need to buy a replacement from a reputable brand. I typically go with either Kingston or SanDisk as they don't let me down and that I've always got the correct capacity.

It looks like a 16gb LG card from 2010. Definitely odd if someone needed to spoof that!

yeah... never use these unbranded microsd cards :P they come from online sellers that either get them from low quality assurance factories, or cards that didn't pass quality assurance that get sold without a branding for a quick buck. they never last long

a lot of the time they come with cheap flashcarts you buy online. not that that's the only possible source though
