Since R4i gold(www.r4ids.cn) has been supported officially by WOOD R4, the team is about to release a kernel integrating WOOD R4.
There are two styles designed which are listed below.
Which one is better?

Style One:
menu_style1.gif

Main characters: simple and WOOD R4 can be boot up directly from the official menu.

Style two:
menu_style2.jpg

Main characters:
1.Mutilmedia functions are moved from Moonshell to the official kernel
2.WOOD R4 can be boot up directly from the official menu too.

Personally, I find it troublesome if things were split up like how it is shown in the second style since I'm used to having everything in Moonshell2 (thus I don't have to tap around to choose what I need and then search around for my file, but just search for the file and open it). Although the DSTWO and iSmartPremium both have a plugin screen, I've never actually thought of them being quite as convenient as having everything in one rather than plugins...
But as just a thought...why not just allow the user to swap between the two styles by pressing start/X/Y/etc. since in both cases, there is already going to be a menu that must appear first before getting to anything else...and really the only buttons needed for those screens are the D-pad, and A/B/L/R...and maybe select to change themes or something.

-edit-
Better yet would be a spiffy brand new GUI.

i still like the first one simple and noobie friendly. hope you put ingame reset/exit on wood menu too. so we can easily go back to official menu. what button is use on wood for ingame reset/exit?i cant make it work using L+R+X+Y+A+B.

The second one, because it's not like the R4 GUI
but can we still use wood only if we wanted to?
don't really want my firmware to be heavy with stuff I'll never use
