I was at a 3DS demo event. I heard one of the Nintendo reps pitching the 3DS as 'a DSi, but with a 3D screen'. I facepalmed.

I'd have interrupted him and corrected the customers he was talking to. He's just downright ignorant of the 3DS knowledge, he shouldn't be pitching something he doesn't know about.
I did.

Edit: I don't know exactly who Guild is talking with, but I think he be hatin. As always.

Initially, most of my friends were waiting for a "2nd revision." That was until the announcement of how a second revision wasn't coming anytime soon (Someone said something about using all of the "space-saving tricks" that were used in the DS Lite and DSi, but I don't have the article handy.) Now it's mostly financial reasons, but one still thinks there will be a "Version 2" within the coming months.

I guess then there's a thin line between "hatin'" and dispelling ignorance then.
Nope...some of it just sounds like "hatin'". Some of the negative aspects you listed are just opinion and nothing else (of course, they have to be for someone to view them as negative). The 3D, it's your opinion that the cons outweigh the pros (at this point, however, there isn't much to show for the 3D, it's just there). Online/WiFi? It's just one more code to add in and not for each game. And can you link me to where you've been hearing it's having online issues? Library? Don't see many differences from its competitors. Touchscreen? Why is using your fingers so much of an advantage over using an accurate stylus? And you know why the 3DS doesn't need a second analog? Because it has a much more accurate touchscreen. Not to mention I've heard the slide pad feels much better than the NGP's sticks (and having used the slide pad myself, it feels pretty good).

You aren't dispelling ignorance, you're just trying to make people change their opinions to something like your's. The only major negative aspects I've seen reviewers complain about are the 3D (not necessarily saying it is bad) and the battery life. And those are still just opinions...which aren't enough to dispel ignorance.

Sorry that they do not want to dig a big hole from the get go to climb out of. Sorry there is no Nintendo TVs, Computers, laptops, phones, dvds etc...: Sony makes a profit in the gaming sector nowadays. And what does Sony's holdings in multiple markets have to do with the argument at hand?
That give Sony something to fall back on while their money comes in.

You can't give up a least one thing good about the features? : Look at the Wii. Not even Nintendo's best games really make good use of the motion controls (outside of maybe Mario Kart, which I still use analog control for). There's some third party games that use it well but they seem like they could be just as fun without the motion controls. No More Heroes has a motion-less Xbox 360 port and MadWorld is getting a motionless spiritual successor, Anarchy Reigns, which looks promising, for instance.
Motion controllers may not be better, but it nice to have a different way to play things.

How?: You're saying the stuff you complain about me putting in your mouth.

Some people already stated my other views so I'm done with this.

Coming months? Maybe coming years. 2 years max.
