Launch titles. If it had better launch titles more people would buy it immediately after its release, but since that isn't the case...

Complete lies.

Even IGN said it was great, only problem was the viewing angle which varies person to person.
Well then, not "complete" lies. I guess what I meant to say is that people aren't wowed by the 3D and comes with issues. But most reviews I've read have said that the 3D isn't that great , or at least isn't one of the 3DS's strongest points.

If only they had just released a portable Gamecube at 150USD.

Drop the second screen, drop the other gimmicks, drop the price.

IGN
Though the 3D experience has its moments of absolute brilliance, it can be short-lived due to the imprecise nature of glasses-free 3D technology, with distortion, ghosting, and user discomfort. The 3D also takes its toll on the device's battery life, which limits total gameplay time to anywhere between two to five hours.

That's more than just a viewing angle. It's nice to know you didn't read the review outside of their "final scores" (which they consistently flub and make them inaccurately describe the actual review).

Other
It's underwhelming compared to NGP from what I've seen so far.
Also I've played on the 3DS and could hardly tell the difference between on/off 3D on face raiders. The graphics look like they've been optimized for 3D by coming at the camera and all that but not for me.
The only thing that would make me stick around for 3DS is the pokemon series and as black and white was actually shit, I can probably give the next batch a miss too. (might have to get 3DS Lite for R/S remakes

? It already able in producing wii like graphics and with 3D.

You asking for to much. You know what you make a portable gamecube at $150 which will shoot lower then wii graphics
and take out the compatibility to other great games.

@reviews I still read more good impressions vs bad impressions of 3D.

(which they consistently flub and make them inaccurately describe the actual review).

How do you know that isn't backward?

I really want a 3ds but my parents are saying no, as well as that its pretty pricey and im not sure whether id be making a mistake buying this one and not waiting for a price reduction or another version.

For someone who always says "graphics aren't gameplay", you're making a really big deal about the 3DS graphics. Seems every time I plainly point out that the NGP beats the 3DS on all graphical aspects you're the first to lash back with a "graphics don't mean gameplay" comment.

The Gamecube had a great library, hence why he was saying the Gamecube (it's also a system "without gimmicks", which he complained about). Essentially he was saying he'd want a system like the Gamecube (which had no "gimmicks" like motion controls, 3D, etc, and also had a great library) that was portable.

So many 3DS impressions here and elsewhere are from people who just think thought the 3DS was the greatest thing ever since launch. They'll basically ignore any negative aspect of the 3DS (and there's plenty). Honestly, I'd rather take my impressions from someone like Urza, who has no real optimism for the system and will be prone to the flaws of it (and if the system is truly godlike, will change their negative opinion on it) than someone like you who refuses to believe any negative backlash about the 3DS when its plainly there. A review is bad? Well the reviewer is just stupid! Bad impressions? It's something wrong with the person!

I was the only one to vote (as of now) to vote about colors. The reason is that Nintendo tents to release special versions of their consoles, such as recently there was a DSi with pokemon black/white.

Waiting for an Ocarina version of the 3DS.

I said it not everything, but when he said Gamecube portable I assume he was saying the 3DS graphics aren't good. So do not change my words.
The funny think is, he keep screaming outdated outdated, but the 3DS is portable and can do more stuff than the Gamecube.

Because 3DS isn't going to get a great library. Plus there are nothing wrong with the features. (I mean them being there in general.)

Sorry ,but what make you think I said godlike, I already accepted some of the bad things about it.

Imo, it's mainly the "DS" in the name what won't let it be as successful as it could be (that not meaning it won't be successful). And of course, the non current gen console graphics. Specially with the NGP coming out, which proves it's possible to have them on a handheld.

Now that's just dumb....Does anyone even know that it's not better than the GCN? Sure, drop the 3D screen because no game has shown it's been amazing yet, but the second screen? Makes me wonder why you're still on these forums as you sound like you hate what they did with the DS and Wii. IMO, the touchscreen was really useful and fun to use in a lot of the games I played (and the ones I spent the most time on). And the other gimmicks, cameras and gyro/accelo (can't think of any others), don't seem like they'd add too much to the price.

Honestly, the NGP doesn't look that amazing either. Haven't read too much into it, but what? It has better graphics, two "joysticks", and an ugly looking menu/interface. I haven't heard of any game I'd want the system for, the 3DS's circle pad seems to have more positive comments than the sticks, and we don't even know the price for it yet.

I, personally, wouldn't take my impressions from Urza. The 3D and price (which kind of go together) are the only real major negative aspects of the system. Rest of the system (not the launch lineup, PSP and DS were just as bad too) was great...from the build quality to the user interface. But yeah, there are always little things to nitpick at for all systems and the 3DS hasn't changed that.

They technically did. There was a screen you could connect to the Gamecube and a [car] plug that could be used to play the Gamecube on the go.

I said it not everything, but when he said Gamecube portable I assume he was saying the 3DS graphics aren't good. So do not change my words.: I'm rather sure he was talking about the library. You're actually changing his words. Urza can clarify if I'm wrong.

The funny think is, he keep screaming outdated outdated, but the 3DS is portable and can do more stuff than the Gamecube. : I don't remember him saying "outdated", he was saying that Nintendo have begun a trend of releasing technically inferior systems (the DS to the PSP, the Wii to the Xbox 360 and PS3, and now the 3DS to the NGP) because they're trying to capitalize on making a profit for each system, unlike Sony who will systems on a loss and focus more on software sales for profits. Surely Nintendo could make the 3DS with graphics equal to the NGP, but they don't because they want to make a profit on each 3DS system sold.

Because 3DS isn't going to get a great library. Plus there are nothing wrong with the features. (I mean them being there in general.) : It's been seen time after time that these features detract from actually innovating gameplay and are often just bigger nuisances to the core gamers. I'd rather have a game have innovative gameplay than innovative controls.

Oh so you are mind reader now?: No, I just have common sense and logic skills.

Orly?: Yes.

Sorry ,but what make you think I said godlike, I already accepted some of the bad things about it.: But you often refuse obvious bad aspects about it.

True.

A bit off-topic... OK Guild wrap it up.

Sorry that they do not want to dig a big hole from the get go to climb out of. Sorry there is no Nintendo TVs, Computers, laptops, phones, dvds etc...: Sony makes a profit in the gaming sector nowadays. And what does Sony's holdings in multiple markets have to do with the argument at hand?

Not all the time.: Wii Sports had "innovative" controls for a sports game but was still really shitty. Mario Party 9's mini-games weren't fun, they were all just boring motion controlled games. I really consider innovation in video games to be new concepts that are broad enough that they can be applied to future games. Often hardware based "innovative" games are tied down to the system its on.

You can't give up a least one thing good about the features? : Look at the Wii. Not even Nintendo's best games really make good use of the motion controls (outside of maybe Mario Kart, which I still use analog control for). There's some third party games that use it well but they seem like they could be just as fun without the motion controls. No More Heroes has a motion-less Xbox 360 port and MadWorld is getting a motionless spiritual successor, Anarchy Reigns, which looks promising, for instance.

So you basely assuming which may not be right. At least not for everyone.: I'm making safe assumptions based on what you post.

Orly?: Yes.

List them.

- 3D. The sweet spot is annoying, its not perfect, can't be viewed well from an angle, eats up battery, and hurts framerate. In the end the cons heavily outweigh the pros.
- Online functions. It's still held down by annoying friend codes and Nintendo have not adopted an online community like the PSN or XBL. Online issues have also been reported for now.
- Library: At the moment most of the good games for it seem to look like remakes or ports. Hell, the only game I'd buy the system for (MGS3D) is still just a remake.
- Graphics: They looked good when they were released, but when you see the NGP producing highly superior graphics, you have a feeling of what could've been.
- Touchscreen: It's still stylus based and doesn't allow for multitouch like the iPhone or the upcoming NGP.
- No second analog stick/pad/etc: The NGP has it, I'm sure the 3DS could fit it.

Time will tell if there's any other problems (such as DS Lites having flimsy hinges and shoulder buttons).

Like what? : The 3D, pricing, WiFi, inferior hardware to its upcoming competitor, etc.

How?: You're saying the stuff you complain about me putting in your mouth.
