Which Gateway Logo Do You Prefer?

I like the new gradient within the "Gateway" text but the omega symbol is kind of silly, better to keep it simple.

Am I the only one thought that skull is perfect symbol for a pirate device?

If you're referring to the Jolly Roger, normally the skull is accompanied by crossed bones or crossed swords.

The manner in which the bottom portion of the skull melts or drips down in the Omega logo is more reminiscent of a virus or poison symbol in my opinion.

I don't really like the new logo change. I agree with what others are saying about it, like they tried too hard to be cool.

Omega logo looks totally childish

Kind of skiddish even.

Plus, the old one had a 3D effect which was kind of nice!

I like simple yet memorable logos. Have you ever seen Unilever logo? I saw it once and never would confuse it with anything else.
First GW logo was crude, not very readable but it was at least (somehow) minimalistic and memorable. I liked it. New logo is an overkill for a logo and it looks like a first work of some apprentice CG-artist with particularly bad taste. It has the old logo in it though. The rule of this world is to make things simpler. Look at Apple Inc. logo and so on. Gateway made it worse, bulky, unprofessional. However, who cares? You can see it for only a few seconds while you are in GW menu.

The new one of course, it looks epic.
The old one also had an effect with a different image on each eye that really screws with your head.

I personally prefer the original Gateway logo. It looks cleaner and more in line with the Nintendo 3DS image.

I particularly don't like the way they made the omega symbol resemble a skull. It connotes that the Gateway software is a virus or harmful in some way. This seems to be a bit inappropriate, particularly in light of the recent bricking fiasco.

Personally I think it would have made more sense to make the omega symbol look like a doorway, portal, or keyhole of some sort to match the brand name.

Maybe it's just me, but I would have also preferred the Menu Splash Screen to at least resemble the stickers on the Gateway Flash Cart itself.

add code still there

i honestly dont like both of them but if i had to pick it would be the omega one as it shows off what it is to the generic public.
I would go for something more simple but its cool :)

The classic definitely. New one is just trying too hard to be l33t h4x0r.
