I was just curious about the collective community opinion on this minor detail.
Which Gateway Menu Logo do you prefer and why?
Original Gateway Blue Logo

VS.
New Gateway Omega Red

The original one give me a classic feeling, like Tom & Jerry, and I HATE it.
Omega look more awesome.

I like the old one. The omega logo looks way too over the top, like some graffiti you'd find on the wall of an old factory.

It's not a bad thing per se, it's just unsuitable as an official logo IMO. I prefer cleaner, simpler logos myself.

Fair enough. I dislike Gateway's old logo because it looks like it has 0 creativity -- as if they just took a generic template and used it for their website and logo.

I personally prefer the original Gateway logo. It looks cleaner and more in line with the Nintendo 3DS image.

I particularly don't like the way they made the omega symbol resemble a skull. It connotes that the Gateway software is a virus or harmful in some way. This seems to be a bit inappropriate, particularly in light of the recent bricking fiasco.

Personally I think it would have made more sense to make the omega symbol look like a doorway, portal, or keyhole of some sort to match the brand name.

Maybe it's just me, but I would have also preferred the Menu Splash Screen to at least resemble the stickers on the Gateway Flash Cart itself.

They want to warn you when using Omega :D

1. Old one looks really nasty and generic.

2. New one looks really nasty and designed by a child who thinks he's a master dude hacker cool guy.

Dislike both, but prefer the old one a thousand times as have a distaste for people who think they're something special.
