I'm with you, DS's touch screen would make those complex ship controls more user-friendly than any other system could do. But Elite's 'total sandbox' game structure was just a little too primative for my tastes--somebody needs to thaw chris roberts out and force him to make us a new privateer. The privateer universe just felt better to me, and I liked the plot.
Every day we hear that the average gamer's age is getting older and older--somewhere in the 30's last I heard. So why the heck aren't more games made for old farts like us?
