My brother already has an Acekard 2i, so now he wants something that can play GBA Games on his DSi.

I told him that there is the iPlayer, Supercard DSTwo, and iSmart MM. I told him to get the iPlayer, beacuse he has two SD Cards, one he can use in his iPlayer, and the other in his Acekard. I told him to get it since the Supercard eats up more battery.

So what's your opinions?
tl;dr: Should I get the Supercard DSTwo, iPlayer, or iSmart MM?
And one more question... Which has better Battery Life? Compatibility of GBA Games?

Edit: Added the iSmart MM.

iplayer cant run commercial nds roms, and im not even sure if it can play gba roms
just get a supercard dstwo and put the brightness to the lowest. it gives me ~2 days without charging

Okay, so the iSmart is of my list, after I read it's review.
So it's in between the iPlayer and the Supercard DSTwo.
What a strange choice ?!

The iPlayer can't run commercial games.
The iSMart MM can and it has the same compatibility than the dstwo. It also has a better battery life than the dstwo for about 25 minutes in plus.

Now perhaps you should consider to make a choice between the iSmart MM and the DSTWO.
It's more logical.

Whoops! Okay, I think about it, but anyways, thanks for pointing that out!

I really don't care if the iPlayer can play commercial games or not, because my brother already has an Acekard to play games, didn't you read the OP?

The iSmart MM is fully based on the iPlayer hardware. It has exactly the same GBA emulator but it can play commercial games in plus.
So why the hell you still choose the iPlayer in comparison of the dstwo ?

That was my thought before
I know that, I'm now thinking about getting the iSmart or DSTwo.

i'd recommend the dstwo solely because it has more support from the team and the community

id say DSTwo
other cards with the 1.4.2 update just changed the bootloader header to a new game

the DSTwo actually fixed the problem keeping the header
id they there guys fairly clever and 1 day fixes are never bad

The iSMM also kept the same header that it had before IIRC.

true but it was after DSTwo done there fix

is the iSMM related to the DSTwo in anyway?

Both were coded by the SC team. Their themer even left an image claiming to it (the RTS renaming screen), and I made a slightly fixed version that is now being used.

iPlayer = SCDS2 without commercial ROM support. Also it's no longer getting updates.
SCDS2 = iPlayer w/ commercial ROM support and better GBA emulation.
iSMM = SCDS2 clone. Just clocked to the lower iPlayer CPU speed.

Wrong.
Wrong.
Totally Wrong.

iPlayer is the first flashcart to have an added CPU that allows for it to emulate GBA, it's pretty much unsupported although there was a firmware update allowing it to be used on the latest DSi firmware, there have been no other development in terms of kernel or any other homebrew.

SCDSTWO is the third flashcart with added CPU (a more powerful one) that allows for it to emulate GBA and has commercial ROM support. Better GBA emulation due to some optimizing.

iSMM is an OEM iPlayer, not clone, and thus has the same CPU as the iPlayer, but has similar features (practically the same) as the DSTWO due to the SC team being the coders. GBA emulation is roughly the same as the DSTWO, though possibly slightly a little worse.

If this is true then shouldn't the iSMM firmware and OS work on the iPlayer?
